What SATNAV/Radar Detectors???
Does everyone use, I want to get something but as it is a total minefield out there I would appreciate some views on what people are already using.
I am leaning towards the Road Angel 2, and possibly TomTomGo, I also need something that is easily transferable between cars.
All tips and recommendations welcomed. Thanks

Tom Tom Go with the readily available speed camera files from the 'net. Now with the new software it's even better. There's 3 models coming out now to replace the current "original" one. Apparently the cheapest of the 3 has no error reduction or something (I think they do something clever to remove the artificially added error?). The mid-priced new one would be my choice - it will also have a traffic news thingy if you subscribe...
Ahhh, I love my TomTom Go...

I use Road Angel as GPS and TomTom on a PDA connected via cable, possibly not ideal but it's quite versatile. I find the r/a to be a lot more current than the Speed Camera downloads for TomTom, which can be annoying.
Just unplug from the ciggy socket and shift the lot to another car.

Buy a second hand Road Angel (original) that the previous owner has already paid the lifetime subscription for (something not available on the new one). Then buy a Garmin streetpilot 2610, and you will be the most unlost, and unfined person in the UK, apart from me, and maybe a few others.
The Garmin is extremely fast and very easy to use, and I couldn't recommend it highly enough. The only down side is the price, but it has come down from around £900 to £550 I think. Check out Maplins ETC

I'll second that on the Garmin, I have a 2620 and it's excellent. The build quality on the Garmins is much better than any other system I've seen.
Selling my Road Angel 2 though after getting my only speeding ticket in Wales last year a week after I bought it.
