I'm paying 99.9/ltr as well for 98 Ron SUL. However that's 99.9 euro cents or about 67 UK pence.
When I see threads like this it reminds me of just what an overtaxed sh1thole the UK really is.

A tip for all of those who are finding that keeping their Scooby full of Optimax (scoobysnacks) is leaving them with no money for beer:
When filling up your Scooby, inhale the petrol fumes, cheap high and you won't need to drink. You might wanna leave the car on the forecourt for a while after though!!
Disclaimer to cover my own *** and that of SN:
Please don't do the above!!!........ you haven't been mapped for 98.5 RON and may end up detting, OK??

Been filling up my bike with BP ultimate for a couple of months now, current price 92.9p/l got caught out the other day and ended up and sainsburys suddenly discovered they do SUL and at 83.9p/l guess where I am buying now.
Well ticked off at how much I could have saved if I didnt use BP for the past couple of months

I don't understand when I hear comments like this. I live in Spain (as I think does D70). But considering that the average wage over here is 15,000 Euros, it makes the petrol really expensive for the Spanish people. It seems to me it is the Spanish who are getting a worse deal than the Brits.

However the comment still stands as the fuel is taxed proportionally lower despite being expensive for the low paid. In addition to this most people who CAN get out of the UK earn a decent wedge anyway. By getting out they can exploit a country where the cost of living (and thus wages) is lower.

I was surprised too about the salaries here. I read it in the paper a few weeks ago. You are right that foreigners living here have it better, and also income tax is lower.
Whereabouts are you in Spain?

Between San Sebastian and Bilbao, really beautiful but all the ETA murals remind me a little of sectarian Northern Ireland.
Much prefer Spain to France where I was before the cuisine, attitude and lifestyle of Espagna makes the grenouilles look rather sad.

I think emigration is on the cards. I'm getting seriously annoyed with the UK atm. I'm not going to leave just yet, I think I will go onto benefits first, just to let them know how annoyed I am.
Round here it really does seem that you are better off when you do not work
