buying my first car
although i love subaru's i dont even have a license yet! i've been putting it off for around 3/4 years now but i've finally decided to learn to drive! but i want to get a car first as some sort of end result goal!
looking something second hand less that 3k (as insurance will kill me) and be half respectable any suggestions?

Go for a little TD. Polo or a varient of (skoda, seat are cheaper).
They have nice performance, cheap to insure and have a good resale value.
Just be prepared for silly quotes. It's worth your while spending a few hours on the phone comparing insurance deals.
