M4 Protest Details
I suspect that most of you are already aware but after consultation with the truckers, police and the emergency services it has been decided that the M4 protest will be run at 56mph and will restrict itself to lanes 1 and 2.
As trucks are limited to 56mph this will not slow the truckers down and by staying out of L3 the protest will not obstruct any emergency vehicles.
Remember the plan isn't to make enemies but to make a point so annoying the police, many of whom agree with us, or truck drivers would not be productive. Also as it is raod safety we are effectively campaigning for it is important that the police consider the event to be safe and sensible.
Unfortunately I will not be in the country for the event but will keep an eye on the TV coverage to see what the Subaru turnout is like. I believe that bikers are also planning on turning up.

I have to say, 56mph in two lanes doesn't sound like a protest to me, it sounds like any other day.
Re: the Subaru turnout, I for one would go along in my other car (a 9 yr old Primera), just to make the point that it's not about high performance cars, but ordinary people who are sick of being told that safety and speed are one and the same.
