Hello
I really, really like Hallelujah by Rufus Wainwright (Shrek Soundtrack), much better than the Leonard Cohen original and always stirs some emotion.
In that happy thought Sunday kind of way, I'll have it played at my funeral.
Steve.

Force & Styles - Heart of Gold (the version released on their own label, not the crappy house version released on the Diverse label, though the original did find itself on side D of that release IIRC)

Try the Jeff Buckley version, the best of the lot IMHO.

I've got 6 or 7 different versions of this, and put the Wainright version at the top, followed by kd lang's interpretation. The Jeff Buckley version is OK, but somehow misses the emotion and the musical nuances at the start.
Top single of all time? Loaded by Primal Scream

Loaded's an interesting choice, moose. Great album, but personally i'd take Come Together over that.
I'm torn between things like Hey Jude, Sweet Child O Mine, Don't You Forget About Me, Christian (China Crisis), A Love Like Blood, Run To Me, Boys Of Summer, Back in Black, Alive (Pearl Jam), Billy Jean, Song For Guy, Crime Of The Century, Africa (Toto), Woman In Black (Foreginer), Music (John Miles), Sultans Of Swing, Telegraph Road, Freebird and many more!!!![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Overall though - Sweet Child O Mine. A cliche i know, but a monumental landmark of rock.

My personal all time favourite (at the moment) is 'Wonderful World' by Mr Louis Armstrong

^^ Lots of people always mention that. But why? It starts well, but never fulfils the promise of the introduction, in my opinion. Or am i missing something? Time/place of your life, that sort of thing?
