The old renault 5 GORDINI TURBO my mate had two of them.
Boy they went like $HIT OFF A STICK as they were only a 1400cc engine but what a car.
One major problem like most early 80's french cars they are rot boxes and fall to peices!!

nar Im sure it was just 120 as standard but the RWD and wide wheel span made them awsome round a track. still ver impressive for its time though.

I never got to see the film so didn't see the car but it could have just as easily have been a Turbo 1.
Standard they were 160bhp
Rally spec "Tour De Corse" they were 300bhp, 1397cc with a Garrett T3 turbo.
There was a Maxi version but this was 1527cc and running a T4/3 Garrett plus other mods pumping out 350bhp.
Having owned an Alpine Renault A110 I had a soft spot for these little gems and nearly bought one but the 6R4 won the toss.
