Anti-motorsport set-aside

Anti-motorsport set-aside
Some of you may be aware that the administration will pay farmers not to farm. This policy is called set-aside and many in the farming community have views on the green nuts telling them what they can or can't grow. In truth there is a new version of set-aside but it is practially the same thing with a different name.
Although farmers are not allowed to use their land for growing crops they are allowed to use it for a range of other purposes including things like car boot sales and sporting events.
Well, some sporting events anyhow. In the new version of the set-aside law motor sport of any kind is specifically prohibited. So, that is the end of many of the fields that farmers opened up for motocross or autocross and many people will lose their sport.
Even in agriculture legislation the anti-car nuts are calling the tune.

Indeed the nut crunchers' plan is to wipe out *all forms* of motorised off road sporting activity. Trials, Motocross, Autocross, Rallying, Grasstrack, Hillclimbs, you name it.
It is already the case I believe that a landowner will be culpable for any injuries occurring on his land resulting from motorised activities whether he gave permission for it to take place or not.

Many of our Hillclimb / sprint venues are suffering from "locals" complaining to the MSA etc regarding the noise pollution from events. Its getting beyond a joke at the moment. 3 Sisters used to do "shake down days" every couple of weeks where we could go and have a test session to ensure everything was as we wanted. Now due to the noise abaitment society they only have 4 a year ~ bloody ridiculas.
The was a push a while ago to close the Curborough venue due to noise, thankfully so far its still running.

I sometimes wonder if these Roman sandal wearing lentil eaters want all this sort of activity banned because its something that they have not got the skill to attempt themselves.
Maybe its all purely down to sheer jealousy on their part!

Our problem, of course, is that these very same green nutters are not only in charge of agriculture but they have also engineered themselves into positions of power in the organisations that are in control of transport. We are literally paying the wages of the very people who are going to force us off the roads in favour of some master plan to control our movements.
The one thing I will say is that they have probably never hugged a tree in their lives as they have never been outside a city in their lives and yet these very same nutters are trying to manage the countryside based upon what they have read in "The Dummies Guide to Environmental Disaster Sponsored by Greenpeace."
