Default every little helps.....

Did anybody see the piece on trevor McDonut's last night where Tesco got a severe mauling for the way in which they do business, leading to profits this year of £2billion...

Yes....£2BILLION!!!!

They're probably not the only ones to behave in such a way, but possibly the worst exponent. the Bloke Tesco put up for the interview was squirming nicely!!!! The programme also proved that they were not neccessarily cheaper than the local market/butcher's shop

I wonder how hard a boycott would hit profits?

I doubt you'd get it. While it may be cheaper to buy from the grocer, green grocer, deli, butcher etc etc, most people can't be ar$ed to go round 15 shops to get the weekly shop.

We do try and support our local shops, but it does cost in time to do it.

Great point. Tesco already do car insurance, why not do the cars as well?

You could do the shopping and then pick up a car to drive it home!

I think they are planning to do this soon, some new EU rules allowing them to sell cars but not be a franchise, not heard anything for a while on it though.

I think Tesco are great, Might even apply for a job there when heavy drinking and drug abuse decay my brain into qualifying status, cant wait to walk up a customer and say "can I help you" like they do in the adverts, I mean it really happens in real life

Anyway, I never go in there due to unhelpful staff who when asked a question roll their eyes and say dunno mate then turn round and walk off and having to stand in a queue 10 deep when the one in front service crashed and burned before the advert on tv ever got out

Morissons is cheaper than Tesco and has a better range of beer and meat - that sways it for me.

It just means I have to suffer a trip to Enfield and rub shoulders with its great unwashed
