The last 3/4/5/6 (I've lost count) times I've given up I usually find that once I get past the first 2 days I'm fine... well apart from wanting to kill anyone who says hola to me
I say good on you and go for it (I'm actually thinking of giving up again soon as well )

Im attempting to stop smoking during the day (10 a day man), eg when at work, as a wee starter.
Doing quite well, as I no longer smoke at work, so thats 5 less already.
The rest go in my hand rolled entertianment at night, which I cant give up for love nor money!!

Gave up for new years - first few days were "intersting" (wifey didn't give up till a month later), then seemed to get easier and easier. Used to smoke an ounce of baccy a week, went cold turkey (i believe the patches etc make it harder).
Determined to do it this time, and the "dont need a ***" dendrites have certainly taken over now!

7 years for me now.
Stick with it and don't for a second believe you can have just one.
You either smoke, or you don't it doesn't matter if the last one was 5 minutes ago or three weeks ago I really do believe it's all or nothing on this one.
Good luck
