Gym & willpower
Got a problem & was wanting to see of the Gym lads could help
I have been going to the gym for about 7 months, not really pushing myself, but i have lost the dreaded beer belly & kinda toned myself without the need for extra's if you get my jist
But the thing is i kinda go about 3 to 4 times a week for a few weeks then i tail of for about a week to 10 days
Now work commitments dont help, but is there anything you could suggest that i could do or .... to motivate myself
I have really changed my diet also & have cut out all the dross i used to take apart from the alcohol (i cant )
So some pointers would be great
Thanks
Stephen

youve just got to 'commit' yourself as much as possible and really 'want' to go. I compare it to givin up smoking, you really really wanna stop so you dont let anything get in the way.
you seem to be doing all the right stuff so it will pay off ! just push yourself that bit harder and you'll feel more motivated automatically

You need a goal mine has being to get massive gym lifts.
I look at my progress now in the last two years its amazing!!
squat 60kg - 200kg
deadlift 100kg - 240kg
bench 60kg - 107.5kg
overhead 40kg - 90kg
You need goals to achieve! so set some. I couldnt live without training!

I go to the gym 3 times a week, and been doing it for about a year, I look at it now as I have to go, like going to work, I dont want to go but have to go, cause sometimes I dont feel like going but then once im there and do my workout I feel much better and glad I went. Also I have stuck to a diet as Monday to Friday I eat healthy food and Saturday and Sunday I drink and eat as much junk food as I want, Once you start noticing the difference you start to motivate yourself.

You need to go with someone or meet someone down there & train.
When I was bodybuilding you wouldn't believe the way training with someone can motivate & encourage you & push you harder & heavier than you can going solo.
Try & find someone at a similar fitness / strength level to yourself so that your goals are similar.
This is also a good idea as you will train more regular, as you wont want to let the other person down by missing sessions and vica versa
