Yesterday, on the way to work, I noticed that they've installed a Gatso just before the end of the on-slip at J17 M4 (Bath, A46), catching anyone approaching the junction, and another one between 17 and 18 on the Bath bound side.

Am i correct in thinking that these can only be sited in known accident blackspots? to the best of my knowledge, these are not, so it seems to me that the motorist is being got at again!!!!

the actual guidelines are that the camera can be up to 1km from the blackspot....
