FFS- my fridge freezer just died! any advice for a replacement?
Our third fridgeFreezer in 6 years has just died
losing about £250 of meat and fridge stuff in the process
Just been shopping too!!!!
So; monday we are off to buy a new FF...
Any advice on which brands/models are very robust and come with decent after sales support from the manufaxcturer??
We can only have one up to 550mm wide so that further limits our choices...
Budget is up to £500
Thanks.

You HAVE to be doing something wrong..........are they vented properly at the rear? And at the front? They aren't sited nerxt to a heat source are they?
Perhaps you'd be better buying from Comet or Currys and taking out a 5 year plan with them?

wow.
thanks guys
we DID have cover via curry's... but then the insurance firm went down- and the recievers sent us a letter that basically said they would pay for £70 of repairs- then tough t1tty - that was when the Frost Free bit went **** up. Now- they told us to FO essentially
Alcazar; No heat source.
BUT venting at rear isnt fantastic- small kitchen and only 551mm gap (fridgefreezer is 550mm to fitted kitchen cupboards
(last owners had done it that way)
So yes- defo long term warranty next time
We got sick of washing machines dying (they were always 2nd hand tho so we finally took the plunge and I coughed up for top of the range AEG not missed a beat in 18 months.
The annoying part is that the width restriction is a REAL problem. no way around it without tearing the kitchen to bits
Thanks for the advice fellas.

My Creda one was playing up a few weeks ago. It was to warm in the fridge, the food was going off etc. I cleaned the elements of dust and left it for a couple of days and it started to work again so I have not replaced it just yet. It must be all of 5 years old, if not more. Saying that, I was looking at a Bosch one with £200 off at the moment in Comet.
I just know that sods law dictates that if i go ahead and buy the digital camera I want, then my FF will pack up the next day.

Can you still get "Beekay Bauknet" fridges?
My parents got one before I was born (now39) and found it in their garage last week, still plugged in and still working after more than 40 years!
