Texas chain saw massacre
What a waste of time that was. Banned? What for!
Not so much scary, but tedious. Started to look like a Benny Hill episode at the end, slapstick and everybody following one another. That woman running around screaming everywhere was a proper pain. Best character must have been the bloke in the wheelchair, not Grandad who comes second , but the 'student'.

i saw the remake first - don't like horror films but it was watchable. a mate got me the original on dvd for xmas thinking this would be horrific in the extreme - it was pants, totally boring and crap and nowhere near as scary as the remake - which was weird.
avoid the original at all costs - waste of time!!

The same can be said of many of the older films; Clockwork Orange, Exorcist, Texas Chainsaw Massacre and many others. In this day and age they just don't shock, the effects are poor by modern standards and real life is often more scary and horrific!

I thought the remake was pretty good - for what it is!!
Oh yeah, the Jessica Beil wet t-shirt stuff is worth renting the dvd for alone!!

The mood of the remake is definatly there but you cant help but compare it to the original while you watch it. It certainly isnt any worse than the original though. Still its better than Leatherface

The remake was the one that had all the inconsistancies (such as the meat hook in the back, then next scene, she's running down the road )
But TCM2 was just as sh1te - with Dennis Hopper....
