What the heck is that film called..
Where there is a bomber crew, who crashed in the desert in WW2. I'm not sure what they do in between but at the end it turns out they are all dead and are ghosts...

It sounds like you're talking about "Sole Survivor", which was made in the seventies. The ghosts are the crew of an American B-17, which crashed in the Libyan desert during WW2. The wreckage is found twenty-odd years later, and among the recovery party is a USAF general (Richard Basehart) who was the young navigator who got them lost, then bailed out on them. The ghosts recognise him, and spend the rest of the movie trying to haunt a confession out of him.
