Nice suits....high street..advice please?
Can anyone tell me where you can get a nice suit on the high street? I am after quite a formal suit in a very sober colour for work.
Most of my suits are from the high street shops like next/moss etc, and they are not that good.....I only want to spend about £250 as its only for work...
Which shops do you guys recommend?

Id second Debenhams; they used to do some 'designed by oswald boateng' suits that really werent bad for £250; which is a quarter of what one will cost from his made to measure shop.....

Bought my last one from M&S. Good quality and value. And it was the only place I could find that had one off the peg in my size without being extortionately priced.

I have to comment on 'Ciro Citero'; they arent good, they sell the most over-priced ****e and Id suggest avoiding them.
£250 is a difficult amount to spend and get a decent suit; theres a lot of ****e available and it can be difficult to tell whats what. If you can Id suggest trying to up your budget a little and looking hard; a Hugo Boss suit can be bought for £350 without too much difficulty and itll last for long enough to make it cheaper in the long run than a less expensive suit. I have a couple of Armani suits bought in 1991 (Ive kept them as theyre the first decent suits that I bought) that have both been worn for much more than the equivalent of a year each and they both still look virtually new; probably the best value suits Ive ever bought.....

Where are you?
If you are any where near Bicester (Oxon) there is a large outlet centre and you can pick up a designer suit for same money as M&S
Well worth a visit............. called Bicester Village, its on the net.

You will probably find that some companies make suits that work with your shape. As a young lad I wore versachi but now its hugo boss and Jeager as they work better for the beer drinker.

I'd steer well clear of designer suits, tyou average M&S ones are just as good, if not better wearing, and not many people can tell the difference.
All the expensive suits are made of finer fabrics which just aren't as hard wearing. It annoying when a the crotches wear out on a £700 suit in less than a couple of months and the M&S ones last a year.
