As an aside, writing and spelling are important, just as looking ok in court or for a job interview.

If you look **** or can't write, then you generally are a chav with no real value to the planet and need to be wiped out............

I do consider my self a bit of a chav i grew up on the wrong side of town come from a broken home left to fend for my self from the age of 10/12 got into crime and drugs from about 14
Then i met a girl who is now my wife not been in any trouble since i was 18 i have 2 great kids my own home in a nice area 2 decent cars 1 scoob
I am by nomeans ritch but live happly see thats why i dont give a toss
if it makes you feel better to knock people who cant spell go ahead BUT TO ME ITS A TYPE OF BULLYING AND I DONT LIKE IT

i would agree

to be honest, my spelling is crap, as sum muppets seam to point out quite regulary, when i left school i did jobs which required NO writing for years and years, to the point where i have honestly compleatly forgot, how to write with joined up writing.

block capitals for me, and even then there a bit crappy, i left school with decent enough results and stayed on for 2 years to get a A level and AS level, so its not like i was the thickest of the thick, which was nice considering the ****e life i had while growing up.

i have had no need for any kind of writing for years and years, 2 years back i had to start practiseing my own fooken signiture as i couldnt even rember how it was written, people at petrol stations were asking me to write it down twice and such when i was paying, took me a while to retrain my brain to sign my name as i used to when i first got my bank card.

"text" speak/talk/text really pisses me off, and im against it, but people thinking there sooo much better then sumbody else due to spelling errors is a bit daft.

i know a lad who never EVER went to school, you would not belive his spelling, i cant even work out what he has written most of the time, he thinks my spelling is amazing the other week he spelt Tracy as Trasy, i dont see him as a **** because he cant spell.

Paul good for you pal, but it's a harsh world out there and whehther right or wrong, people WILL judge you on you look/speak/write....this, I guess is human nature. If you do have problems with spelling/writing theres lots of help available, so in this day and age, there's very little excuse.....

(and I am very good at both reading and writing, but crap at typing!)

i can read VERY well, fast and fluent (sp? lol)
always have been able to read well, but the writing degraded over time as i had no need for it, bar the odd little note here and there.

Don't get me wrong i know at certain times it is important but at this point in my life i am getting by without it
my 2 brothers are worse than me at spelling
one drives a £65'000 645 bmw
and the other has his own hotel probably worth 500k
all im saying if you cant spell its not the end of the world you can get on with out it
but its a pain in the *** when i ask my 12 year old son (who is in all the top classes) how to spell something
