Default Anyone been to centerparks?

We're thinking of a few days away with our little one.
He'll be 12 months in May.

Anyone been to centerparks?

Which one did you go to?

Good / Bad?

Go again?

What kind of accommodation should we go for?
Is it worth going to one with extra stuff like bubbly bath?

I'm full of questions today!!

Thanks guys!

Ive been to the one in Nottingham a few times.

Not cheap but very pleasant and in the middle of the forest with no cars about feels as though you're miles away from anywhere. Very relaxing if you dont mind biking everywhere but its flat so its not difficult.

Lots of stuff for the kids maybe not quite as much for the adults but still decent.

Accommodation is nice enough. Never been in one of the 'deluxe' villa's because of the cost but they do look pretty impressive with jacuzzi outside etc.

Also, Oasis' recently bought by Centre Parcs's are meant to be even better and slightly more modern. Worth a look maybe?

I've been going for about 7-8 years and its great if you're doing the family 'thing'.

Hi Cath

I've been to the Center Parcs in Longleat with my family and we had a great time. What i do remember though is it was extremely expensive!!! Everything but the swimming complex was extra cost.

Been to Longleat / cumbria / nottingham

My order of *star rating

Nottingham **** Everything is located close together.

Longleat **** Its got a long hill but there are trains (VERY GOOD IF THE ZOO IS OPEN)

Cumbria ** Bad experience.

Yes it is exspensive but very nice for a break.

There is only one CenterParcs you should consider.
It is one of the smaller ones, and a bit of a drive to get there, but......

Heilbachsee...........15km from the Nurburgring

My lot loved it (especially my 9 year old lad)

I went to Longleat with the wife...stayed in a "cabin" right by the main complex....all very plush (but pricey)...school term so very queit.

I went for a jog in the forest and ran past the family villa things....lmao...looks like a cross between a gypsy camp/concerntration camp and some sort of Carry On Camping movie!.......not for me!

Really? ,I've been to Oasis (the Cumbria one) 8-9 times, only had one bad (ish) experience and that was when it was changing ownership from the Rank group to Centerparcs, I know a lot of people that have been to the other ceterparcs and comments were the accommodation was like a "Butlitz holiday camp from the 60's" and "it looked like a concentration camp" all the "villas" are awful concrete squares, whereas the "villas" in Cumbria are nice wooden cabins.

Just MHO though.

Iven been to elveden, longleat and cumbria (before it was centre parcs), and cumbria was the best one.

In my opinion they are a little overpriced and getting a little tired now. plus i live in the middle of nowwhere with no cars (apart from my own and next doors). with squirels badgers and deer within feet, infact i can see more wildlife from my window than at centre parcs so the appeal isnt really that great anymore.

Went to Longleat years ago and enjoyed it. Would echo the comments that it was pricey to eat in the bars etc. Bit of planing to take your own food would save a fair wedge of cash.
