Default Washing Machines

Hello

Sorry to get all domesticated but what do you actually look for when buying a washing machine? Mine has finally decided to give up. And can anyone recommend a cheap place online to buy one from?

Thanks,

Steve.

Dealtime.co.uk will give you the cheapest prices and places to get from, but you need to know what you want.

A washing machine is the one bit of kit for which I take out a 5 year Warranty. We've always stuck to Zanussi - middle price range and they seem to last about 3 years before first call out. Ours get heavy use with kids and dogs (no we don't wash them!). Machine played up over Christmas so I just bought a £35 second hand one to use until service agent was open again. I am sure Bosch, Neff, or Miele would be better but I thought they were megabucks relatively speaking. DL

I've had a hoover which was fine until the bearing gave out. Parts seem cheap, had to fit a new seal at one point. It lasted over ten years before it broke though. Currently on a Zanussi which hasn't blown up yet. Had that about three-four years.

uk.pricerunner.com for another price/feature matching website.

Hello

I bought a Bosch, thank you for your help.

Although I'm suspicious as I bought it from Comet online and it was £100 less than anywhere else!

For some reason Comet actually seem to do some good prices on-line. Bought my iPAQ from them, cheapest I could find.

Now why they can't sell the stuff in the shops at that price...
