Weather forecasters - why do they bother?
Woke up this morning to 3" of snow, it is currently a blizzard out there and getting deeper.
Did they forecast this? Like hell did they. This is the forecast for Maidstone today
http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/24hr.shtml?id=2664
Where do they get their info from? Last week they forecast the whole country was going to get covered, the South East hardly got any, then they say the cold snap would be over by the weekend only to for yesterday to be relatively warm and then to wake up to a shed load of snow this morning.
I love the snow but it could have at least done it on a work day ffs

Weather forecasters...they might as well say "Yes, there will be weather tomorrow", about as accurate as astrologers !
Actually, where we live, it's pretty difficult for them to get it right as we live mucho close to a rather large mountain so the weather is quite changeable...unlike say, the Sahara desert where you could reasonable predict a warm dry spell.
We were supposed to get lots of snow today...but it's rather mild so I'm being informed that Mrs STi-Frenchie's car needs a wash and wipe. Damn them weather forecasters...except this one
