Default Sainsbury's 0% card...crap service from the outset!

I applied for a Sainsbury's Credit card under the 12month 0% scheme, thinking it may be a useful tool for the interest free period.......

My credit score is excellent, and I was told that the card was approved, subject to me sending docs to prove address etc..which I promptly did....

Two months have elapsed and I havn't got the car from them.....I rang them and they said they are still in the issuing process.....

Im minded to cancel now...their attitude to customer service seems appalling!

They are as bad as Tesco cards - i've seen the credit score system. If I apply for anything else I get a limit of usually about between 5k and 15k. Tesco gave me £200.00 and Sainsbury offered me £75.00

Perhaps they're really after those they think will end up paying interest rather than change to another interest free period card.

No problem with Sainsburys - 13k limit. Had a Tescos before that also.

Maybe they have been overrun with applications and therefore there is a backlog? 12 months interest free credit is very desirable.

Looks like a good offer, as long as they dont have to issue too many cards!
