Hi,
Does anyone know which phones my '3' (mobile phone network) U-sim will fit in. I gather only special phones can be used, but i dont use any of the features. Would prefer a cheap old nokia for £30 and sell my phone as im not a phone fan. I have heard that the Samsung T100 can be used, is this true?

all depends on whether that phone was on 3 network in the first place. if you get the phone "unlocked" it will accept all networks. try ur local market thers usually some dodgy git offering phone unlocking lurking around

Can you get any fone to take a 3 sim if is 'unlocked'? I was under the impression that even on an unlocked fone, a 3 sim will not work.....

Does anyone know the answer to this, as 3 seem to have some very good cross network/anytime deals, but the handsets are absoultely awful...

Hi, just been doind some research. Some phones will allow you to use '3' sims, but its unreliable, (some same models of phone unlocked may or may not accept the sim.) Plus according to some web sites three are not to happy about their custumers using different phones and regularly disconnect services.
Boll@x just bought a Nokia 7210 for £40.

It also depends on who built your sim (year it was made, location etc.)

That's because when you put a 3 SIM into a 2G phone it will only use the O2 network which costs 3 a great deal of money in roaming charges. Especially if you download pics, videos, music etc.
