This is doing my head in.....
Over and over again I see quoted in the press these days...... "She/ he was bored OF the situation"
Isn't it supposed to be Bored WITH ?
Ok so it may seem a petty thing to some of you, but it really, really is doing my head in. Is it my imagination or is it very bad grammar? And those of you who choose not to utilise our grammar rules, please butt out. Some do and some don't, I want feed back from those who do. Ta.

That's nothing! What about: "..he should of done it..."? Should have (should've) for f*ck's sake! The same people need to find out what the difference is between 'there'; 'their' & 'they're' too (that's 'too' not 'to').

I've gone of you because off the way its shaping up.
I don't like it's colour .........
Mind you "doing my head in" was not a feature in my grammar classes..........

Don't think And was begining a new sentence, it was continuing the theme..... if we're going to be pedantic.
I do not claim to be an A* grammar student but I do not like to see glaring mistakes and laziness in writing.
For "doing my head in" read, annoying me greatly. :-)

Anyone else checking their grammer more than once before posting a reply on this thread?

Grammar, spelling and English is a taboo subject on here so you lot are on a hiding to nothing if you keep this thread up
There are no end of threads on the subject and the censesus of opinion is, because of the ferocity of posting that goes on on here there is no time to check for correct English and since when was an English degree a membership requirement for SN.
one of my pet hates is people who can not use "a" and "an" properly but we won't go there

Forgot to mention:
Your/ You're
To/ Too
I even try to get it right when I'm sending texts!
Best one ever though was during one of my training courses when I asked them what was wrong with their departments and one of them wrote 'cummunication' on the flip chart! Some sort of oral sex.....?

Bear with me for a second, that doesn't mean bare all and get naked.
We're all thinking about where this will all go, what to wear as it were.
They're the ones that are thick and there's no use trying to educate their little minds.
You don't want to mix up the too's as there are more than two.
Anyway, I've given up caring as many don't want to improve how they communicate. Mind you, it's handy having people here - that's not hear btw - who use poor grammar, spelling and choice of words as it's simple way to gauge how stupid they are. You may not be stupid at all but all most of us have to go on is what you post on this site (not sight ) and how you post it so you've only yourselves to blame.
Anyway, it doesn't have to be good grammar/spelling, just not really poor. I don't mind people not having a great command of the language (I know I don't) but it's not too much to ask for some basic school level standards (stuff you should know by 12/13/14 yrs old).
Oh, and be aware of the bees
