Interest free credit card questions
Say you open an account with EGG, then use the interest free period, then close the account. Can you return to them again, or is there a time you have to wait. I'd like to do the interest free offer again, but doubt I can do it.
Also, can you get another card from the same source i.e. currently with Halfords (MBNA) - can you get another MBNA card or is that a no-no?
Anyone done this sort of thing?
PS - any good 0% balance transfer companys out there at the moment? Currently being humped with a Halfords card through MBNA.

So long as you close your credit card acct completely, you can rejoin again at a later date to obtain the promotional rates. In the case of Egg, I think it is 6 months after you cancelled your last credit card to get the 0% offer again.....I've done this before.

Most cards seem to want a six month period...
I applied for an "online" hsbc card and another HSBC card late January because they had 0% interest deals on.. Have not had any paperwork through yet though and the deal ended on the 31st.. Hope thay still honour it... (as I sent the paperwork in before deal closure time (about a week before)
£4000 credit limit too
That's half of one of my current cards then

Speak to Egg - I have two egg cards and each one gives me a further 6 months 0% on balance transfers on the anniversary of opening the account. With a little bit of shuffling this becomes an interest free loan.... forever

Cheers for the responses guys - much appreciated.
I went on this website and found these cards comparisons:
http://www.fool.co.uk/searchengine/g...ucctlink600018
Just wondered - about the NSPCC one for example
Balance transfer BalT period
************ *********
NSPCC 0% for 9 months 9 months Typical 12.9% APR (variable)
When you go in and look at the NSPCC card details it has a monthly rate of something like 1.018%
Does this mean the balance transfer is free and you are charged a monthly rate?
Sorry for being thick, but I'm oblivious to the ways to keeping money

you are charged a monthly rate of 1.018 on purchases. Any payment you make comes off the balance transfer first, so you pay interest on all purchases from day 1 until the balance is cleared.
