US Garage, my favourite I've got piles of the stuff. This thread just inspired me to dig out my Todd Edwards CD - Locked on. Inside The Mix on ffrr '96, gonna give that an airing in a bit, also includes Saved My Life.

Did anyone used to go to Garage City back in the early to mid nineties? I virtually lived there

These days I get my fix mainly from Hed Kandi (the label, not the drug)

Freak - all my old DJ mates have long since laid up the decks so I don't get any personal mixes these days, if unclebuck doesn't take you up on your offer can I butt in instead, pleeeeeeze?

Sal

Ah yes, Bobbi & Steve, my ex bf used to beg them evey week to give him a spot playing, they eventually gave in after much harrassment and let him do the warm-up, he went down a storm which was nice so they let him do some more

What did happen to old Trouble?

I started going there when it was in that teeny tiny club in Soho somewhere, unfortunately I can't remember exactly where it was or what it was called but I do remember it had lots of wall length mirrors as I mistakingly walked into one once thinking it was the way to the toilets After that it moved to the Collosseum in Vauxhall which was myfavourite then on to the Strand. Which one did you go to Dave?

I remember India doing a PA there once, she was absolutely stunning, my head nearly blew off

Sooo true!

Strictly Rythym rocks, I remember the days when you could more or less buy a tune on Strictly without hearing it and know it was going to be good. Catch a Groove records anyone?

I've just got a pile of old stuff out to play, mixes by the likes of Todd Edwards, CJ Mackintosh, Roger Sanchez, Todd Terry, David Morales etc etc. Talking of David Morales I love 'How Would You Feel' (12" vocal mix).

And a quick music question, what's the sampled tune in the background of 'Sweat' by Anthony Acid feat. Ruby? I know it's an old, old tune (80's?) but I can't remember and it's doing my head in.

Freak, you're a diamond

I have some great memories of Todd terry playing a 10 hour set on New Years Eve at the Ministry of Sound in the mid nineties. I don't think I left the dance floor once during that 10 hours

Some people used to knock TT but to me he was a musical God.

Dave, you probably would've seen me there then, I had long wavy brown hair, was probably wearing a denim skirt and old school trainers or Red or Dead boots and dancing from the moment I walked in to when I left Remember me?

I'd forgotten Generate Power (choooon!), I haven't got it, have you?

Ah yes, Sanchez and Morales, they were the star turns of that genre. They’re still travelling the world Djing AFAIK. A nice way to earn living if ever there was one.

Soz for taking a while to get back, but Freak I’d love a mix if you have time. I’ll PM you.

Cheers

Dave, twas me indeed and I've still got it and still play it

Bar Rumba, yes that's the one

Right, today I have been mostly relishing the delights of:

H20 feat Billie - Satisfied
Sarah Washington - Heaven (various mixes)
C&C Music Factory - Pride (A Deeper Love)
Kathy Sledge - Heart
Naked Music NYC - I'll Take You to love
The Absolute feat Suzanne Palmer - I Believe
Andrea Mendez - Bring Me Love (Various mixes)

It's been a bit of a big anthems day today

I've currently got the 'The Big Wheels of Azuli' - 1991 - 1995 on
