Ski Insurance
Going skiing this weekend for a week. Hopefully it will snow abit more before we go.
I need some decent ski insurance which isn't too expensive.
If it isnt too expensive I could get annual cover.
Any ideas ?
Thanks,
WD

Cheap, but I did have to chase them over a payment that was due to go to debt collection in US

Another one for Nationwide, used them for the last 2 years (in europe) but me and the missus are going to Canada this year and to say I was a little surprised how much more expensive it is for there

I have an annual policy with Club Direct to cover all travel including skiing. It costs £105 per year for myself and my wife. I have claimed once for the costs of a physiotherapest in Courchevel. I pulled a calf muscle. It did not stop me skiing, but it did make walking a problem. I put in the receipts when I got home. They paid up no problem, less the £50 excess.
Having said that, you could try
http://www.dogtag.co.uk/Home/Home.aspx
They specialise in insurance for skiing and other "risky" activities.

Nationwide doesn't cover hired ski equipment, one of the most likely claims during a ski holiday.
Try ski-insurance.co.uk, they seem to offer good cover at a reasonable price.

Dogtag and Direct-travel.co.uk are the two better ones. You pay more for dog tag but you literally get a dogtag with your details to wear round your neck for when you get dugout of the avalanche
Personally I use direct travel.
If you are off to the Alps, its snowing its **** off, over 50cm expected in the next couple days.
Enjoy.

I'm off to La Plagne in France on the 5th Feb, can't wait to get there. Only trouble is my wife and kids are coming, so had to arrange a lads trip to Val D'Isere in early April too!
I have an annual family policy with Direct Travel, paid £67 and it covers Winter Sports.
Where are you going?
