The term "Ride"
I was at my local meetup the other week, trying to flog the Astra. The car was clean and polished and the signs were in the window, some bloke came up to me and started talking about the car.
The first thing he said was "Sweet RIDE you got there"
"Ride"?
Since when did the UK Modified car culture start using americanisms?
As I remember you DRIVE a car, not ride it, so does anyone have any idea where and when this all started? Its just not on, it really isnt.
Tell me, whats wrong with UK terms for your car such as "Motor", "Crate" or my personal faourite, "Jam Jar"
"Ride" Jesus christ.
astraboy.
