Looking for a Sci-Fi book..
I saw it about 20 years ago. It was similar to the Terran Trade Authority manuals, but involved a couple on a tour around the stars and showed the sights they had seen. Anyone one know what the book was? It was a hard back A4 one with the pictures on one side of the page and the text on the other..

Never heard of that book. If you like sci-fi though, you might like Ben Bova.

I've read about a dozen of his books, and although many of them are themed and interwoven they are a cracking read and you can start anywhere in the series. He's probably the most prolific 'space' writer and among the least well known especially by those who get their books from Asdas
Look for the planet books, ie mars saturn etc, and the rock rat asteroid war books. He may have even done your book
Better leave it there or I'll sound like a Trekkie

It's not a novel. It's an A4 size hardback book with full size pictures on one page and text on the other. The pictures are by various artists of different space sceenes. The pictures I rememeber were one of a view of some aliens in a canyon. They were white, bony looking, with long necks and large heads. Must be about 1 mile tall..
If anyone as read any of the Terran Trade Authority handbooks you'll know the format I mean. I just can't think of what the book was called..

I'm quite sure I had this book or something very similar.
Take a look here: http://www.hobbyspace.com/Art/index.html and see if that is any help.
I've had a quick look through (lots of books mentioned on page 2). the art work of Chesley Bonestell looks very familiar.
Cheers
Ian
