A question for the girls re: Performance car ownership
Ok girlies - I am wondering if you would feel safe driving round in an evo or a scoob regularly. I am thinking of swopping my car but am worried about the security aspect of being followed/carjacked etc.
What do you think?
Guys would you be happy for your Mrs to drive either of these?

Seriously, depends on the areas you live or drive to and in. For example, outskirts of brum epescially north/east...I wouldn't be.

My sister drives a scoob (sport but doesn't look like it one bit ) and my other half drives around all the time in a golf VR6 and neither of them are worried or had any problems at all.
I guess it's all down to where you live though because personally I wouldn't want my other half driving around in a scoob in this area (Slough!!!!) but her golf is low profile enough. My sister lives out in the countryside so it's not an issue.

I'm a girlie and I drive a WRX - and no I've never felt worried. I keep all the doors locked as a precaution against thieves and car jackers but that's all. The main problem is all the little boys out there who can't cope with a woman in a performance car and feel the need to race/ carve you up/ block your overtaking etc etc etc.

I am not worried driving mine about, although if I lived in or had to visit dodgy areas then I would reconsider.
Tigger, can you take a work/other vehicle to the building sites?

no not really as I am given a car allowance as opposed to company car - the terms of which state that I must have a vehicle available at all times for company business, so unless I buy a banger its a no go.

Speaking from a blokes perspective, I wouldn't want one if I lived/worked in or around Brum for the reasons you've given
Do you get a fuel card as well Tigger?

Thats the only problem I've had when driving the scoob but I don't think it's just because of the scoob because it happens in our vr4 now too.

Yes I can have a fuel card if I want one, I think I would have to get one if I did get the Evo or the Scoob!

I had one when I had my Scoob, it only cost me £300 (tax) for 12 months of fueling my car
