It just makes me think that I can polish off a portion of spare ribs, prawn crackers, egg foo young, crispy seaweed, a special fried rice, a beef curry, crispy duck, and two pineapple fritters, before falling asleep on the couch.

I rarely get drunk. Twice in the last 5 years I guess. New year's eve 1999/2000 and same 2003/2004. I have more a tendency towards puking and falling asleep than anything else, though that said if a ruck started I'd be more likely to get involved if I'd had a few. I think I go through an invincibility phase just before coma

Personally I don't think it's the booze that's really the problem more the group you hang around with.
Generally I'm relaxed and easy going when I've had a few as are my mates. We like to got out (or stay in) for a drink to chat and chill out. Maybe I'm getting old but I'm increasingly less bothered about going into town to drink, just too many "undesirable" types about, nowhere to sit down, music to loud to talk over etc. Much rather go for a nice meal and consume a bit of red wine or head out to country pub
When I do go into town the only reason I could become aggressive if because of the people around me. If I am drunk then I would be far more likely to wade in if provoked but as I've said if I go to the right places and drink with the right people it should never happen.
Unfortunately sometimes you are thrust into situations, I was walking home one evening when a beer bottle comes flying past my ear and smashes on the pavement in front of me, totally unprovoked. As it was I turned round ready to confront whoever threw it but my mate talked me out of having a go. If it had hit me it may have been a different matter

same here, I like to think it makes me jolly and talk more sh!te but with the beer waffling the misses gets annoyed with me and she starts to shout the odds and me being a confrontational person doesnt help the situation, basically if the misses doesnt get angry with me 90% of the time Im OK. then Im also fine in town but again you always get ***** trying it on so theres the odd few times theres a fall out but generally I prefer to have a few social drinks rather than drink too many.

I'm a very affectionate drunk - I love the world and everyone in it! On one memorable occasion I got roaring drunk at an office bash in London - and on my way back to the train station I gave all my cash away to beggars and then explained to my then boyfriend (now hubby - can't say he didn't know what he was getting into!) with wide eyed innocence that they needed it for shelter for the night........he still thinks they blew it all on booze and drugs - cynic!
I call upon Markus, Redkop and Invisible Man (the hubby) to verify this as they were the ones getting the drunken phone calls from me as I bounced around Picadilly Circus and over Waterloo Bridge ("but it's soooooo pretty with all the lights on....")

I picked aggressive. But that ain't really true. I do get more pished off with certain things that make me angry when I sober though.
Generally, I just get louder and show my **** to as many people as possible
