Default Quick Tsunami question....

Somewhat callous capitalist question, but I'm casting any emotion aside

Where did all the money come from that the government are pledging and what will suffer as a result? Or are they sitting on a cash mountain that they aren't telling us about?

I'm off for a cuppa whilst you fight it out and slag me off for being callous

We also pay, via taxes, for the debt relief (the banks STILL want whats due to them and WE pay!)

Bummer isn't it??

But was the money pledged earmarked for something else? In which case something has to give, be it a service, or charging the nation more?

Anyway Pete, are you ill tonight? You seem to be giving far more helpful factual answers than normal

there is an emergency fund set aside for this kind of thing as part of normal budgeting. In terms of general taxation income the amount of money being given isnt that significant.
