Default Chips away (or similar) franchise...should I??

Has anyone on here bought a Chips Away/Dent Devil etc franchise?

I'm considering it, but have no previous bodyshop experience...I realise they train you up, but the £20k outlay seems a lot if I decide its not the job for me... (I currently work shifts, so COULD potentially juggle my current job by dropping a few hours).

Any thoughts?

No one can answer this for you can they? I believe that most franchisees do have bodyshop experience though; this must make it a lot easier.

My old man and I nearly bought a chips away (paint, wheels, trim) franchise, we even visited the place in iirc Bedford but I talked him out of it as looking around it seemed that too many people were doing this kind of thing. There is a dedicated magazine available on franchises if you want to see whats available.

Yeah you're right. I think I was deluding myself...

Sounded ideal, though...
