Calling those who have a chinese wife/partner or can help with sizes, or just anyone!
Ok, this is a wierd one and I can't find what I need on the net, it's almost impossible, so I turn to the collective knowledge of scoobynet 
My wife is in china at the moment and she gets back at the end of the month, Now I want to get her a nice present for when she gets back but this is where i need help.
I need to convert chinese clothes sizes for bra's etc, dresses and shoes into UK sizes. I am completely stuck!!! SOMEONE HELP ME PLEEEEEEEEEEEAASE!!!

Oh come on, there must be SOMEONE in scoobynet who can help! with all the collective knowledge and abilities is producing some of the most amazing and obscure info someone here must have some idea!!!!

take some of her underwear into the shop and ask a similar size assitant to try them on for you to find the english equivelent. Even if you don't find it you'll have fun finding out!

Ok, as far as I know...bra sizes are in centimetres instead of inches...which I thin would be the same in China. As for clthes sizes...they mainly go by small medium and large...I'm 5'2" and I take a small or x small...bearing in mind chinese people are smaller than the average british person. hope that helps

My wife is helping sell Mongolian cashmere jumpers that some people have imported into Portugal from the factory in Mongolia. The sizes are hysterical, as some are sized for the American market, some for the Japanese, and some for the European. When "small" is bigger than "large", your head starts to spin...

Just asked him now. Shoes size etc is a nightmare to convert by all accounts. With regards to women's underwear he said it's very basic ie it translates to Small, Medium, Large etc. I asked if they have equivalent of our bra sizes and he said not that he knew. He's only a young lad so maybe he was more into exploring what was in the bra than it's size. Sorry I can't be more help.
I still think taking along some underwear to a reputable shop for comparison would be your best bet.

I tried to buy a sweatshirt in Hong Kong a few years ago and they tried to convice me that No Fear did not make XL sizes, because they had never seen them!!!
