Default LG washing machine - 7.5kg load, any good?

This one, here

I've done the obligatory seach, and have found nothing, except Miele are brilliant, Bosch and Zanussi are very good, others are OK and some are crap.

Where does LG fit in?

Does anyone have one? 7.5 kg is a hefty load, whats the catch? Are they noisy?

thanks

I've got an LG - roughly same as this one but goes up to 1400rpm.

Direct drive motor claims to make it quieter, but it's still not silent when spinning at full speed.

Had it 3 years.....no problems so far, touch wood. It's on just about every day these days.....

AEG Lavamat / Lavatherm is what we went for.
Go for a 1400 spin speed washer as it makes a BIG difference in how long it takes to dry the wash load.

If I had shedloads of cash i would have gone for Miele. As I only have a lean-to full of cash I settled for AEG

The 0-60 is ****e, but the wife might like sitting on the corner during the spin cycle.

Glad I'm not the only one who finds grown men discussing RPM's and max loads of washing machines slightly unnerving!

Hey chaps, I'm just trying to find a silver one that does 6kg+ for under £400

I can't grasp her logic that silver is top priority, but its what I have to work with here

They'll be discussing the coefficient of friction of the duraglide sole-plate next, or the merits of deionised water in steam systems.

Miele - The daddy
Maybe...but maybe not the daddy it once was.

Can't say I was impressed for forking out for a new pump after 2 years for a washing machine that costs 4 times as much I what I spent on my daily banger transportation.

Overseas, we're running a super cheap Gorenje, which appears to have been more reliable

Bought an LG similar to this one and have been very pleased so far, our last Bosch only lasted three years so hoping for an improvement on that.

Post Bosch

All the 6kg machines are made in Poland. Fact. Everything else is made in Spain for washers.

ive got the 1600 spin version had it about 3 months now and it seems great, has a small vibration when going flat out but it could be that I havent levelled it properly. Comes with 2 years warranty and Barclaycard gave me another 2 years cause it cost over £500.
