Angry reid furniture *****-up. need advice

received my new leather suite from reid furniture on christmas eve.after ordering in august.one of the chairs was part of a corner suite but i wanted it to stand alone so requested the normally hidden side to be finished in leather at an extra cost of £180.guess what they have sent an unfinished one.what are my rights? i signed up for 3 years interest free.and was told when i signed the delivery form this completed the transaction for deductions to be made.should i phone the bank to stop deductions or wait for reid to give me a replacement which would take 3 months.just dont want to be ripped off or reid to ignore the situation.any advice appreciated.

It does not sound like they have supplied what you ordered. Have you got the original order form or proof of what you requested in the first place, if so then should not be a problem.

If they are owt like DFS, they will tell you to keep it while they get you a new one made.

If it's going to be a long time, go for compensation on the grounds that the parts will no longer match due to wear.

If they refuse, reject the entire suite, and stop payments.

Why did you sign the delivery form, as that usually means "I agree all parts checked and OK"? Did you not note at the time that there was a problem?
