or listen for the whining kid that turned the original (18 rated) Terminator idea into a load of crap to please 10 year olds and make big money by getting more bums on seats.
"i will not kill anyone...i promise" give me a break!

Hello
I really enjoyed Terminator 2. Yes, it was a bit "dumbed down" to gain a wider audience, but it had great special effects and not a bad story line. Although full of inconcistencies that annoy boring people like me.
Steve.

certainly a film that gives the home theatre system a work-out; especially like the Harley Davidson thumping along.
One of the best effects I've found to date is in Kill Bill vol1 when the young assassin is whirling a ball and chain thing round her head - the sound travels round the speakers - awesome effect.

The T2 Ultimate Edition DVD has 3 versions of the film on - the theatrical release and two extended versions. Haven't seen them for a while, maybe I should get round to it this week.
Other great surround sound experiences:
- the opening battle scene in Gladiator, the catapults hurling flaming fireballs diagonally across the lounge are awesome
- the scene at the beginning of Independence Day where the alien mothership flies pas the moon. (Subwoofer required!)
- the helicopter rescue scene in The Matrix. Also the final subway fight scene - where the Agent stretches and his neck clicks before the fight the noise is quite sickening
