i did it for a while.

kite and buggy is easy bit (DONT BUY new...too many ppl take this up then quit hence lots of used bargains)

tricky bit is flting space......perfect is a beach but lots have banned it......i found a good feild near me that was ok....;..check firts where you can fly...you will soon bore if you have the gear but its a 2 hr trip to fly then the wind dies on you!

I got a Flexifoil Super 10 from Santa . Looking forward to giving it a go when Arctic wind heats up a bit!

Were all windsurfers and if its 5 + will be out on the coast - but for when its not that strong and because he now lives london, mate jus starting kite + mountain board , ive had a go and its ok.....but as said, you need space and reasonable mount of wind.

mountain board...ages to learn...slow...fall off a lot

buggy...10 secs to learn...fast.....fall out ....a bit less!

sold my board 1 day after i got it!

also...you can buggy in any wind...cant be too windy for a buggy...just hold on! i went out in gails with mine and a 4.9M blade!

how much room do you need then? can you only go the way that the wind is going then, second hand is looking like a good idea.
i was going to fly the kite without the buggy to get fully used to it and then try with the buggy later.
cheers for all your help so far

yes ......you can only fly the way the wind is blowing....just like a sail boat.

not sure how we discovered america???? i assume we just put the sail up when it was blowing west?

well , that , would be my advice - i took a day to get used to it ( and have been windsurfer for 6+ years)....................i imagine if u forget bout quick release or summat you could do yourself an injury in a buggy..
