Mother nature is your engine when the wind blows otherwise it is down to foot power - looks like good fun, where to you use it?

paul, as long as the winds at 3mph or more i have a kite to suit! in fact to much wind is the main prob as my smallest kite is still quite big!

and i use it on any field! or the beach.

If you think you need brakes, you can get a backpack containing rope and a large brick.

Trouble is it messes up the power to weight ratio

Wink

From what I heard the power-to-weight ratio is already fairly messed up by Tiggs alone...

I can understand the attraction of a sand yacht as you can tack across the wind but surely a kite just drags you to the end of the field and thats it!!!

I presume you then get off and drag the whole lot back to where you started!!!!

A bit like skiing with no ski lift ???

I wouldn't need mother nature, could prolly produce enough wind of my own with the thought of no brakes

Cool

Tiggs,

The suggestion to get a kite, erm, I think that might have been my fault

Glad you are having a go, hope you are enjoying it ? Sounds like you have the right selection of kit.

Any big wipe outs yet ? Got the 360 degree spin down to a T yet ?

May all your days be windy ones...

Cheers

ian, i have to admit when you first said "get a kite..." i thought it was a daft idea!!!

having done bike racing, trackdays, motocross, enduros, kayaking, etc, etc i have to say this is the best fun/cheapest thing ever!!!

i have a few kites, a harness, buggy and mountain board for the price of about 2 or 3 trackdays! and now the wind is free!
