Question Ok, who was it that knew a lot about Watches???

Hi all,

Haven't been on s'net for a while (site banned across all my work sites around the country!!! - makes for a ong day!) but what was the name of the guy that knew a lot about nice watches??? (or am I on drugs)

I'm after some decent online retailers really, where I can get a decent Tag watch from. (Tissot just died on it's **** - never again!)

thanks all

dave

interestingly, my first good watch was a tag(from 1990) after it was stolen 5 years ago, i thought that they quality wasnt the same,so plumped for an omega, last week my brother took his tag into the local dealer for a service (who supplied both my watches) and they have recently given up the dealership for tag, saying they quality has gone seiously down hill, saying they are no better now than branded gear like armani, gucci etc, which is probably now the market thay are chasing

www.blitzwatches.co.uk

I thing you will be hard pushed to find a decent TagHeuer, but you can still look.

Dont go near the new Avent Garde range...pure tack.

The Classic ranges are the best IMHO and I particularly like the Autavia.

I am in a Breitling frame of mind at the moment.

just clicked your link yoza and didn't like any of them but if i had to pick a breitling i liked the look of the chrono cockpit but what makes it worth £2,000.

you could get three titanium stingers for that

Well in fairness it's a dive computer really, which can be worn as a watch. Not a bad bit of kit, a mate of mine has one. I never bothered as i'm a tables/stopwatch type of diver.

titanium stinger for £570 from deepblue http://http://www.deepbluedive.com/product.aspx?id=9575

all i want to know is what are you getting for £2000 with a brietling,
at least with a stinger for £570 you get a titanium full decompression dive computer,
with a brietling you get what?????????
a name? an empty wallet? a smile from the retailler whose just made £1900 profit from you?

good question , can see what you mean, for that amount i would be scared to wear it out.. Tag is an everyday watch for me, Sunnto is my underwater must have accessory ...and at 280 it was a snip..

and as for 3000 metres/feet.. hmm you would need a submersible arm to wear it

Cheers

Tag Monaco's are cool, although not for your diving, as I dont think the water resistance is great, but they do look good, Steve McQueen version in particular.
