Ok, who was it that knew a lot about Watches???
Hi all,
Haven't been on s'net for a while (site banned across all my work sites around the country!!! - makes for a ong day!) but what was the name of the guy that knew a lot about nice watches??? (or am I on drugs)
I'm after some decent online retailers really, where I can get a decent Tag watch from. (Tissot just died on it's **** - never again!)
thanks all
dave

interestingly, my first good watch was a tag(from 1990) after it was stolen 5 years ago, i thought that they quality wasnt the same,so plumped for an omega, last week my brother took his tag into the local dealer for a service (who supplied both my watches) and they have recently given up the dealership for tag, saying they quality has gone seiously down hill, saying they are no better now than branded gear like armani, gucci etc, which is probably now the market thay are chasing

I thing you will be hard pushed to find a decent TagHeuer, but you can still look.
Dont go near the new Avent Garde range...pure tack.
The Classic ranges are the best IMHO and I particularly like the Autavia.
I am in a Breitling frame of mind at the moment.

Tag Monaco's are cool, although not for your diving, as I dont think the water resistance is great, but they do look good, Steve McQueen version in particular.
