Default Black&Decker LZR range

Hi,

My dad has just seen an advert on the TV for this new Black & Decker device which detects metal, voltage and maybe has a lazer feature??? Thought it might be an ideal crimbo pressy.

Thinking it would be straight forward to just jump on a website to buy one it appears there are many variants of this device...

I think i'll be looking at the LZR2 model. Has anyone got one of these and can they detect metal nails as well as pipework?

Cheers

if it has a lazer feature then just buy it.

lazers are quite handy to have about the house.

I got one for free with a drill and , well, it's ****.
Buzzes at everything and tbh the laser is quite poor.

I've just got the basic model from my folks for me birthday and its spot on.

We've just moved house, so i've got loads of mirrors and pictures to put up. Hanging a mirror yesterday, just drilled the first hole, placed teh LZR over it and the lazer beam auto levels so you can mark the second hole.

Mirror is now up and perfectly level, much better than "rack o eye and slant o gob"
