I thought it was a good film personally. It gets slagged of as being corny these days, but you have to remember that most of what are now movie cliches, were done FIRST in this film. It is the numerous subsequent imitations which have lowered the bar.

Excellent car chase. Smokey and the bandit chase! Pah! all speeded up rubbish and crap sound effects. GI60S! all camera jiggery pokery.
Bullitt, all done real time. Best car chase ever!

I have this on dvd and theres a good documentary on the training required for the car chase.

You see Marc, I even tried to watch this and couldn't. I cannot see what it is at all.

When a car is flat out why can it keep going up 2 or 3 gears with a cráp engine note?

How can a car head for a ditch at say 80mph and brake 3 feet from it and stop!!!
