I have been stealing 30 to 40 pounds a month for the last year out of her purse and now have a grand total of £425.

So not a penny of my own money.

Shouldn't matter if it is £15 or £15000. She'll be happy with whatever so long as you put some thought into it........

I love christmas, but I like getting loads of small surprise gifts to open on Christmas morning, even if they are ****e.

Want Hai Karate gift pack, Soap on a rope, and Brut talc this year or Denim for men if they run out of Hai Karate.

A pair of MGB's (Moses Getaway Boots) or sandals for those down south for the coming summer.

Some cheapo Asti Spumanti that froths out your nose when you laugh.

gave up on birthdays, anniversarries (sp?) etc and just set aside £100pm so we get something decent for each other at xmas instead of a few things that are iffy!

(at least i hope shes been putting her £100 aside!!!)

Not mean, just skint. If I blow a few hundred on some diamond earrings etc she'll only give me earache for shelling out what I haven't got to spare.

If I spend less (up to £50) I'll get earache for that also.

So as I see it - I am destined to get earache either way, so I might as well save a few £££ for my Lads trip to Prague in April.

as little as possible, hoping to keep it under £50. I'm not tight, or skint, but she doesent need anything, and I hate the smell of perfume.

failing that, it will be a vibrator and a pair of slippers

Aah, that old chestnut. £5 says she buys you something and then makes you suffer for not getting her a present

davegtt. You're walking into such an obvious trap here, open you're eyes and get down the shops.

The Wife's getting another subscribtion to the "jasey Annual".

We normally just get better pressies for all the Kids we know and "forget" about ourselves - It works for us .

ps a few little pressies are usually exchanged between us - but not a lot

pps Davegtt - I'd get some perfume or some soppy CD bollox just in case

Bought Zoe a new batt for her car as I'm fed up with having to jump start it off mine. Do you think I should get her something else too?

nar I thought this was a trap cause we've done it before, buy something expensive and end up still getting something small for the day but not this year, she keeps saying shes not interested, if she gets nowt she cant moan. saying that though she'll make me guilty for a short while but by midday when the beers have gone down the hatc I'll have forgot all about it

plus its my b'day 7 days after christmas so I get all my pressies then
