Tories look after the greedy
Labour spread wealth about
Liberals, well what can you say? they wouldn't be tough on crime, or terrorists, or anything .... it would be a wishy, washy government
LABOUR will win, so this vote is rather irrelevant

If there was a box for it, I'd vote 'non of the above' cos they're all a bunch of no good, sort your mates out, bullsh*tting, spineless, own pocket lining, out of touch w4nkers, imho
As it stands I vote Liberal, there's no chance of them getting in but I can at least say that I voted and it wasn't wasted or for Labour or Conservative

Conservative.
I agree strongly with the basic ideology of the Conservatives.
I disagree strongly with the socialist ideology.
I can't be doing with the fence sitting middle of the road Liberals (or whatever they're calling themselves this week).
I hate New Labour and everything they stand for with a passion. I also have an intense personal hatred of Blair as a politician and a person.
I am strongly anti-euro and anti-EU. Labour favour both.
I am a Royalist. New Labour would get rid of them if they could get away with it.
I am saddened daily to see the direction that the Labour government are taking the UK.
Labour were a big factor in my decision to move to Canada.
Does that answer the question?

I think 'other party' should be split up more in this - ie Lib Dems have there own poll and UKIP too...... see how that pans out...
But if you like driving in any shape or form don't vote Lib Dem.....!!

Labour: fatherpierre, MandaPo, Manda_po, Miffy, pslewis, richiewong
Anything you'd like to say Manda????

As for the poll can't really find an option to vote for. They're all point scoring career politicians - hence what real difference will it make? Nah, a people's revolt is what this country needs

Does anybody consider that politicians cannot win in the peoples eyes? It's incrediby simplistic to say "they're all liars" etc etc blah blah blah.
If they told the truth you'd moan about them even more, you'd say they're arrogant, opinionated.
The British public just like to have a moan, and what better person to moan at than politicians eh.
I can actually think of one politician at the moment who is VERY open with their opinions - Ann Widdecombe (not sure how Widdicombe is spelt). She speaks her mind, and as a result - gets abuse.
They're damned if they do, damned if they don't.

During the local elections I had a knock on my door from the husband of our "friendly local labour candidate" handing out flyers... yadda yadda yadda
As I said to him then I believed that she did and still does a good job "locally", it's just shame that the rest of the party (ie government) are a complete bunch of clueless idiots
Is it just me or does Mr Darling MP remind you of what's his name out of the Sesame St? That man should get his eyebrows sorted before he hurts someone!!!
I'll be voting conservative

I always thought the idea of having political parties was that they stood for something. Nowadays the aim of each party is to get into power. To do this, do they try and convince the population that their core values will make a better society? Do they hell, they all try and run for the central ground which is clearly more attractive to more voters. Most policies are either at the central ground or heading that way quickly. The battle then is fought on silly issues like who would take down speed cameras and who would raise the speed limit. One party identifying a policy of the other which is unpopular and promising a U turn. To me it's a sad day when the major decisions on who runs the country are based on 'fringe' issues.
A question for all those who are life Conservatives or Labour. Think back to when you first affiliated yourself with this party and compare the policies to today's. Is it the same party with the same values? If your life is longer than 5 years then I doubt it. Makes it more akin to supporting a football team than a set of values.
We currently have a popularity competition. I've intentionally spoiled my ballot paper in the last 2 general elections with the words ' How can I vote for either of these?'
sorry for going off on one!

Like the results of the poll you wanted to see lewis?
Anyone who says there is no difference between the parties is copping out and evidence that they either haven't looked at the policies or don't understand what is behind them.
Allowing Labour a third term will spell disaster for this country as the economy spirals into decline and we a turned into a police state.

Although I don't have allegiance to any particular political party, I am going to vote as I always do for what I think is best for this country.
I am fed up of the lies, conveniently called "spin", which we have been fed with over the last few years. I am also very concerned about the direction politics have taken now and I cannot get away from the feeling that we are being set up for a repressive style of government in the future, all the signs point towards that. Actions are being taken to give the government immense powers over the people and our safety margins against unfair or illegal treatment by the authorities are being eaten away bit by bit. The excuse given is that of terrorist activities but the laws and other controls
proposed will do little to protect us aginst terrorism or illegal immigration rather than reduce our own democratic freedoms.
if all this comes to fruition, you can kiss this country and our present way of life goodby, and the substituted life style is not worth thinking about.
I will vote for the party which is the least likely to give our country away to Europe.
