Default courtesy cars and insurance payouts

bit of advice needed please.
following my recent crash i have had a courtesy car for 2 weeks.
the insurance company want to take the car back on friday even though i havnt had my cheque yet.
what can they do if i say i wont give them the car until i recieve my cheque,am i breaking all the rules or will it hurry them up into paying,please help as i dont want to be without wheels.

It depends whether or not they are going to right the car off.
if they are going to right it off then they can take the courtesy car off you
(i'm not a lawyer so i am not 100%) but if they are repairing it then you cannnot be without wheels.
Try and reason with them first before you start getting shirty and see what they say and explain your situation and if that fails then get shirty.
i am in a similar situation at the moment due to an argument with a steel post

First point of call, read you policy documents and check what you are entitled to.......

I'm in a similar possition. Tesco hasn't even sent an assessor out yet and the two weeks are up on Monday. I'm furious.

unfortunatly it was my fault,they are writing the car off.im gonna have to ask really nicely i think.

just spoke to them.the car will have to go back.not too impressed,i still have to wait until next week before i get my cheque.
no car,no money to buy another,looks like ill be in the boozer all weekend.lol
