Question Anyone got a Gel Fire???

Hola,

Just wondered if anyone has got a gel fire, using the sunjel product?

See Here for an example.

Was thinking of getting one & hoped I could get some comments on them!

Cheers,
sp

Haven't got one but that's a cool idea for those who would like an open fire but have no chimney.

Hmmmm... how easy is it to get the refills? It seems that you are reliant on a limited product to me, although they do look very smart.

Personally I would go for a modern electric fire myself if you don't have a flue.

We have the Odyssey suite (third down)

Althought we only paid £850 for it (I skanked it cheaper by getting the VAT removed as it was to be 'fitted' into a new house)

Don't you have any sort of flue at all? We have a proper chimney (so we could have a wood or coal-burning fire ) but we've got one of those gas fires with bricks on it that looks like coal and real flames come out through them. Apparently you can fit them where you've only got a narrow flue (like you have with ordinary gas fires).
