gift? flight in a Spitfire?
is there anywhere my old man can go for a flight in a Spitfire as a Christmas gift?
I know theres one 2seater in country but do they do this sort of thing?

says it all - theres a HUGE waiting list, literally 12 months+, so you might want to look at an alternative. Saying that my uncle went for a go last year and loved it! (Though they had problems with the undercarriage and had to do a tower flypast to check the gear was down)

Thanks for the link. I didn't see anything there about a waiting list?
Me and my mates from the TA would be willing to wait however long it takes if there is a way to get on to the list with the promise of a great flight at the end of it.

I thought you had a 2 seater Spitfire, to arrange a fligh for your old fella, simply enter a corner to quickly and a short but interesting flight will occur, sort of victory roll, without any victory.
