1000 New Road Angel's Stolen
Hi Guys,
Just had a phone conversation with Graham @ Blackspot (while talking about new RA Purchase).
They have had over 1000 units stolen.
Please be very careful when buying these at a very low price from new companies / ebay etc as it is likely that they are stolen.
If you are unsure, I think you can ring up Blackspot & they can check out the serial number for you.
Their number: 01327 855586
If by chance you buy a stolen one - they will not be activated & you will not be able to update them.
I hope no one gets caught out
BK
Edited to give more info

thanks for the warning, seeings i was contemplating getting one
If we find one and pass the sellers info onto them, will they activate it FOC
That would be good PR if you ask me and i'm sure the 1000 units will be found very quickly

However, the seller hasn't set a reserve so whilst it's bound to go up technically it could sell at £170.
I give up

BK,
Why not get blackspot to release the serial numbers of the stolen units. Atleast then people can ask the seller for it and then check to see if its a case of 'asbestos glove' handling of it.
Cheers for the warning though - its a potential deep puddle for a 1000 people.

You asked:
"Can you supply me with the code number on the back of the RA"
Serial number is 01027923
