You know the Aston Martin Vanquish and the Vanquish S, well they have bespoke audio by UK experts Linn.

Their products look really expensive and look very well built.

The Sondek LP12 is still one of the classic hi-fi turntables, been at the top of that game for a while. The rest of their stuff is a bit like a lot of "proper" hi-fi; i.e. ideal for some people's tastes, and not ideal for others. However, unquestionably in a completely different league to e.g. a standard from currys midi system.

The Linn Isobarik speaker was a design classic too, in production for twenty years.

Agree - fantastic piece of kit. Very interesting design.

And, as Hades points out, the Sondek is one of the best turntables in existence. Was a world beater when it was launched.

The sondek was good and dare i say best of its day..In my eyes the Townsend rock reference was better but each to his own..But turntables have come on a massive amount and Linn should move with the times and get back in the top 10 of turntables..

Linn stuff damn good...but I bet that whatever is put into the Astons will be disappointing.

I am yet to find a car which I have personally sampled (including Astons, Bentleys, BMW's, Jags) where I am 100% happy with the standard audio system.

Normally lack 2 things, oomph and imaging and others you end up with all the bass comming from behind your head.

Lets hope Linn make a better job of it

Think ya hit the nail on the head there....chances are that it will just be a "Linn badged" product to add kudos to the interior..much like harmon kardon in the Rangey's..they sound poo and Mark Levinson in the Lexus...although these sound better they aint great..Think the best standard system in a car i heard was in an early LS400.Some Peugoet stuff sounds ok due to there use of Focal drivers but the head units let them down badly..!!

The Sondek is outclassed by a whole host of TT's now. But was certainly the one that started high end consumer TT's off in a big way.
