Getting Rid of Blackheads ?
Anyone know how to get rid of these annoying blighters
My nose has a few collection and I've tried Clean & Clear Blackhead Clearing Clenser, and the missus' Superdrug facial scrub but to no avail.
Also, they seem to be worse after a night on the tiles
Any help appreciated

blackheads are a form of acne. there is no immediate cure for it. it's not linked to diet or to dirty skin. its due to oily skin. you need to get a good skin care regime and be consistent with it.
clean your face with a facial scrub once a day... every day. even when they're gone.
oil-based makeup is actually a main cause of this... so i guess we all now know what u get up to when you're out on the tiles

Try using a facial steamer as well to keep your skin as clean and oil free as possible. Dont pick at them either as this will make the problem worse.

Just keep squeezing them out until your nose falls apart!
Joking!
When I was a teenager, I used to get them.I used cleansers, scrubs and mask etc and, I found facial sauna at least once a week very effective.

If your skin is oily, you are more prone to blackheads. What you need to do, is wash your face daily with a suitable face wash for oily skin, and exfoliate twice a week with a recommended exfoliator. These products can be bought in any Boots or Superdrug chemists. If you are not sure what you are looking for, ask an assistant on the beauty products department. The other option, would be comedone extraction, and for this you may need to see a Beauty Therapist, as blackheads are more commonly known as comedones. It is not painful and is a well worth having done. Watch your diet, as this also aids blackheads, eat a balanced diet, drink plenty of water, and make sure that the foods you eat are not always full of saturates. I hope this has helped you.

I don't get blackheads as such, but if I give my conk a good squeeze there is always something comes out of the skin - a bit like cream cheese ( apologies if your eating )
also seem to get the odd zit which is a little white lump - hard as hell to squeeze - horrible things, you have to pop the skin with a pin to shift them, then a little ball of dead hard stuff comes out. what are these????

Hi
Found my user name. I forgot to say that you can also use Witchhazel, as a first step to tighten the pores. First check the areas of the face to see where you are gtting the problems, and only use this product on them areas. The more common areas are the T-zone areas, these are the forehead the nose and the chin, so you need to concentrate on them if that is the case. If not then apply the witchhazel to where you are getting the blackheads most. You may need to do this three times a week for a couple of weeks to start to see an improvement. You can still use the other products as well, but alternate the exfoliator with the witchhazel, as this will help to balance the skins needs without stripping it of its natural oils.

There's those sticky plaster type things.
Stick one on your hooter wait a while and and then peel
What's this - Duck tape :-)
Wouldn't worry about a few blackheads on your nose, imagine if you had the nose probs Michael Jackson has - he needs tape to keep his nose on his face

missus has "nose pore mask" from the body shop
its a cream that works similar to the plasters mentioned above
it dries and then you peel the blackheads off
also exploition is of use even from somthing like a flannel
