Default Babies health experts...

Hello just a flying visit.

My little lad is 5weeks old, I was changing his nappie when he decided to curl one off.
The pooh was not hard, and came out with only a bit of wrenching, he was quite happy about it all.

The question....?

I noticed when he was pushing, that his belly button was sticking out, a bit like the size of half a small grape. He usually has an 'inny' belly button.

Anything to worry about ?

I will take him to the GP on Monday, but if its something I should be worried about I will take him to a clinic tomorrow.

Thanks.

Now back to 'The Incredables'......

Sounds like there's nothing to fret over. Well worth seeing your GP anyway, to be on the safe side.

Nothin to worry about, a 5 week old's belly button is still 'fresh'. Check with the midwife (or health visitor) on their next visit to put your mind at rest.

could be the missing one..!!!

seriously yoza, just check with the midwife...

5 weeks..... honeymoon period..

when you get to a year, you,l wonder what the fuss was about...

thats when you take stock of the useless stuff you bought for the little one and never used or didnt need..

i,m on the second now, the first year flew through, i remeber the sterilizing stuff going on for ages..... this time it was over before i knew it..

just wait till they start crawling...

(work becomes very inviting)

Yoza, they do this all the time, making you pap yourself, it takes time before you can spot something significant, in the meantime you have paid your taxes so bother the medical establishment for anything that troubles you about the little fella (I mean the baby, not the really little fella).

My cousin was worried about his 8 year old, something wasnt quite right, just got him into casualty rather than letting him sleep, he had Meningitis and the doctors reckoned that he would have been a goner if left another hour, he was here the other night picking Kidney Beans out of his Chilli and moaning so he is ok now, not trying to alarm you in any way and the belly button thing sounds like nowt but basically dont f*ck about if you have any concerns and if you arent happy with a diagnosis, ask to see another doctor, they are human and prone to mistakes like everyone else.

He's your first isn't he? You're bound to be worried as its all new to you too but can't be too careful. A friend of mine says having the next one is like a walk in the park Me, I'll stick to my cats!!!

CAT....... ****, I forgot about her !

Poor things had her nose pushed out of late.

She has even lost her corner of the couch to a baby seat..

Must go and buy some cat food.

Thanks for the reminder.
