3 years then!! Hmm
I think 6 months or a year would have been more more appropriate. The circumstances meant the lad could not really have acted in any other way.
Could 'you' control yourself?? I couldn't.

People say its lowering yourself to their level, however in this case I honestly don't believe anybody could have controlled themself following what the arsehole said to the son of a raped mother.
I'm with you andypugh2000, I would have seen the red mist and god knows what I would have done. I couldn't even begin to imagine the anger he must have felt. It's unthinkable.

He should have got a medal!
At least it's one rapist we know won't re-offend because the extremely lax justice system of this country lets them out too soon.

In some (some) cases, murder has reasoning. Rape however has none, it forces the guilty to live with what has happened.
Rape - statutory life imprisonment.
AND WHEN I SAY LIFE - I MEAN "LIFE".

The mother says she's proud of her son for killing another person.
I think thats pathetic, how can you be proud of murder?
Im not defending the proposed 'guilty' rapist but he didn't deserve to die.
There are other ways and means of 'doing business'

at 16 you can imagine why he reacted the way he did. with the benefit of twice his years under my belt, the punishment i would have adminstered would been much much more sinister - but i would have left him alive to suffer it for the rest of his life, just like the lad and his mum have to.

Imagine how she feels though. It's such a horrible situation, especially by the "it was only a bit of fun" taunt by the alledged rapist.

Can't condone the taking of a life.
Understand the lads reaction.
There was never going to be a happy ending
You can discuss the moral and emotional issues for the rest of time.
But two wrongs don't make a right.

You go out, you get lucky, some **** turns up the following day and kills you.
Sounds like Life according to GW Bush.
However - If the guy did rape her - I spit on his grave

Im the Family of Derek Duffet. And im not winding you up on this either. He was my brother-inlaw OK
May i put the facts st8 here please.
1, She was not raped. He caught them in the act. Derek was having a relationship with his Mom and she didn,t want her son to know.
2, She did not report anything to the police ,then after the Murder, she then made the allegations towards my Brother -inlaw. The police have said the story and the Dates do not Match and they are 99.9 % sure that no rape was involved
2, She is an alcohlic, and known in the community as one
3, She has said in out local papers and on TV that he was he was HIV posative and she keeps having to have tests
Bullsxxt. His organs where transplanted.
She claimed he was high on class A drugs.
bullsxxit He had no drugs in his system (Fact from pathology report.)
The trueth can be obtained from the CID in telford police station and i will forward the number to anyone who wants it and you can speak direct to them.
The true victims of this are
Mark and my Dead Brother-inlaw from the lies His mother has told
She has made loads of money from the misfortunes of her Son.
All the family concerned hope that this is the end of the matter, and all of the above i have put
IS THE TRUTH AND FACT

I think you have to take the 'taunt' with a pinch of salt as i doubt it even happened unless of course witnessed and backed up by another person.
My reasoning for this as he needed to reduce the crime from murder to manslaughter. The taunt would have triggered the lad off and provoked the attack hence manslaughter. If the taunt was not issued then the lad had time to think about his actions and planned the attack. Ie murder.
If i was in the same position i would say exactly the same thing! Ie i was provoked as i was angry. This would reduce sentence to manslaughter.
Of course this is all in my opinion.

If it was blatant rape - fair play to the lad.
If Shropshire guy was for real - the lad was OTT.

Probably best to close this one now.
If nothing else it demonstrates that we should not jump on media bandwagons without having an open mind.
